Preacuvioși și Preacucernici Părinți / Reverend Fathers / Révérends Pères,

Cu deosebită bucurie, vă invităm să luați parte la slujba de sfințire a noii biserici a Parohiei „Adormirea Maicii Domnului” din Boian, Alberta.

Așa cum bine știți, Parohia din Boian este una dintre cele mai reprezentative comunități istorice ale prezenței românești și ortodoxe din Canada și, totodată, din America de Nord. După încercarea dureroasă prin care a trecut această comunitate, în urma incendiului care a mistuit biserica istorică în anul 2023, ne aflăm astăzi în fața unui nou început, plin de speranță și binecuvântare.

Vă adresez tuturor invitația de a fi împreună cu noi la acest moment de mare însemnătate pentru credincioșii din Boian și pentru întreaga Episcopie Ortodoxă Română a Canadei.

Programul slujbelor este următorul:

Vineri, 14 august
17:00 – Vecernia și Slujba Prohodului Maicii Domnului

Sâmbătă, 15 august
09:00 – Slujba de sfințire a bisericii
10:00 – Sfânta și Dumnezeiasca Liturghie
12:30 – Agapa festivă

Nădăjduim că veți putea fi alături de noi la acest moment de aleasă bucurie duhovnicească și de comuniune frățească.

It is with great joy that I invite you to participate in the Service of Consecration of the new church of The Dormition of the Mother of God Parish in Boian, Alberta.

As you all know, the Parish of Boian is one of the most historically significant Romanian Orthodox communities in Canada and, indeed, in North America. Following the tragic fire that destroyed the historic church in 2023, we now stand at the threshold of a new beginning, marked by hope and God’s blessing.

I warmly invite all of you to join us for this important occasion in the life of the Boian community and of the Romanian Orthodox Diocese of Canada as a whole.

The schedule of services is as follows:

Friday, August 14
5:00 p.m. – Great Vespers and the Lamentations Service of the Dormition of the Mother of God

Saturday, August 15
9:00 a.m. – Consecration of the Church
10:00 a.m. – Hierarchical Divine Liturgy
12:30 p.m. – Festive Agape Meal

We sincerely hope that you will be able to join us for this joyful occasion of prayer, fellowship, and thanksgiving.

C’est avec une grande joie que je vous invite à prendre part à la célébration de la consécration de la nouvelle église de la Paroisse de la Dormition de la Très Sainte Mère de Dieu à Boian, en Alberta.

Comme vous le savez tous, la paroisse de Boian est l’une des communautés historiques les plus représentatives de la présence orthodoxe et roumaine au Canada, et plus largement en Amérique du Nord. Après la douloureuse épreuve de l’incendie qui a détruit l’église historique en 2023, nous voici aujourd’hui au seuil d’un nouveau commencement, placé sous le signe de l’espérance et de la bénédiction de Dieu.

Je vous invite chaleureusement à vous joindre à nous pour ce moment d’une grande importance pour la communauté de Boian ainsi que pour le Diocèse Orthodoxe Roumain du Canada dans son ensemble.
